TANERA DAWKINS  studied at Oxford University and the Royal College of Music, and in 2006 attended the Berlinale Talent Campus.

Tanera's  compositional work includes a score for The Cullberg Ballet, Stockholm, and the Bafta-nominated animation 'The Dog Who was a Cat Inside' [Passion Pictures, directed by Siri Melchior]. She has also written scores for TV documentaries including 'Machines Time Forgot' (Channel 4/Discovery), '03 and Me', a Channel 4 series highlighting 2003's year of disability, and 'Without You' a Channel 4 schools programme on teenage bereavement.

She has written for drama, including 'Tell It to the Fishes' starring Dylan Moran, directed by Will Sinclair, produced by Carol Murphy and Chloë Mercier [Laika Pictures].

As well as her film work, Tanera has toured Malaysia with cello duo, The Chainsaw Sisters, and played at the Istanbul Festival with contemporary classical group, Orbestra.

She is currently in THE DRONES, a four piece multi-faceted folk group who specialise in children's workshops/concerts & is also one of THE KITCHEN GIRLS, a six piece American string band. She has done string arrangements for LAMB and SQUEEZE, and performed on recordings with Roger Eno and the Levellers.

She lives with her husband Mark Fleming who sings with CANTABILE, and their son Tom.
